“World Record”: Woman with 99.8% of Her Body Covered in Tattoos Enters Guinness Book
Esperance Luminesca Fuerzina, a 36-year-old former U.S. Army service member, has made her mark in the Guinness World Records as the most tattooed woman with the highest number of body modifications. An astonishing 99.8% of her body is covered in ink, with implants under her skin, a split tongue, and a myriad of other cosmetic alterations.Yet, this American isn’t planning to stop there—she’s not yet achieved her ultimate vision. She shared her journey of transformation with the editors of the Guinness World Records.Luminesca got her first tattoo on her thigh at 21, and a decade later, she embarked on creating a cohesive masterpiece on her body, reminiscent of a harmonious painting. When mere images were no longer enough, she took things further by inking her eyes, gums, adding symbols to her lip, and splitting her tongue.Implants were embedded into her head and hands to alter their shape. However, Luminesca doesn’t view her appearance as menacing. To her, it’s a form of art and self-expression.Among the more unusual modifications are the removal of her nipples, genital piercings, tattoos on the soles of her feet, red teeth, and trimmed ears. These changes happened gradually, with most of the tattoo designs being crafted by artists rather than by Luminesca herself.Looking ahead, the record-holder hopes to engage in human rights advocacy, explore new art forms, and pursue higher education. She also volunteers at animal shelters and works with organizations dedicated to HIV awareness
