The Windsors had a busy schedule in December despite the cancer diagnoses of King Charles III and Princess Catherine of Wales. The senior members of the royal family have quite a lot of work to do, but even despite the cancer, His Majesty continues to fulfill his duties. His daughter-in-law also wants to get back to work as soon as possible, so despite her illness, she appeared earlier this year, which delighted her fans who were really happy about her return.

Princess Catherine published a series of drawings made by her children and herself, showing an artistic side of the family. This couple posted three examples of their children’s recent scribblings on their official Instagram account to publicize the Princess’s ongoing advocacy for early childhood care.

In a message accompanying the post, they wrote, “Drawing portraits with children can provide a moment of connection as you spend time looking at and focusing on one another, as well as being creative and most importantly, having lots of fun together.”

The youngsters sat down together with their mother to draw portraits of one another, with Prince Louis choosing to draw his in red and orange felt-tip pen, and Princess Charlotte’s bright creation sketched in pencil with shades of green, purple, yellow, and blue. The post specified that the pictures were by Prince Louis, Princess Charlotte, Prince George, and the Princess of Wales.

The kids could get some pointers from their grandfather, as King Charles is an enthusiastic landscape watercolorist whose works sell for around $20,000. The third drawing by Prince George depicted Catherine seated cross-legged in an armchair, appearing to be drawn with a fine liner. The fourth, drawn by herself, was a detailed sketch of Prince Louis with his eyes closed.
